WHAT ARE ASSESSMENTS?
Empodocles (444 B.C.) stated that everything was made up of four "roots" or elements. Hippocrates (400 B.C.) and later on Galen (130 A.D. - 200 A.D.) where observers of people and defined four types of behavior and appearance that was affected by their environment. The modern day visionaries that developed the theories we follow today are Dr. Carl Gustav Jung (the Swiss psychiatrist) and William Marston PhD. (from Harvard University). Both of these great behavioral scientists were creating their theories in the 1920's. Jung was working on dysfunctional personalities and Marston focused on the behavior of "normal" people. His famous book "The Emotions of Normal People" is today, still a classic in the field of behavioral science.
